February, 09, 2014 in Moscow. Russia. Skype application on Tablet PC Computer Technology communication concept. Skype is a voice-over-IP service and instant messaging client.Enghouse Interactive has unveiled the details of its new attendant console for Microsoft Skype, which should allow call centres to increasingly unify communications. Making its debut at the Microsoft Ignite 2016 event, the latest solution is an operator console and professional attendant that is accessible via Microsoft Office 365 and is native to Skype for Business Cloud PBX.

Modern telephone answering services are optimising business by utilising next-generation solutions to meet their customers’ expectations. This often means diversifying communication channels, one of which is video calling. Without the need for any on-site equipment, the new attendant console taps into the gamification approach to business and offers an interface with clear interactions and high graphical value. Functions and menus are also spared unnecessary clutter. To make visualisation easier for users, calls travel dynamically through the system, changing in colour in the process in order to represent a contact’s age and queue position.

Enghouse Interactive Vice President of Product Management John Cray said: “The increasing growth of unified communications is a testament to Microsoft Skype for Business. We are honoured to team with Microsoft to support the collaboration needs of our customers.”

Meanwhile, Microsoft Senior Product Marketing Manager James Skay explained that the latest milestone brings a new solution that optimises the gamification approach to call centres by enhancing collaboration and productivity. “We are excited to share this innovative breakthrough with both Microsoft Ignite attendees and the thousands of enterprises worldwide for which Skype for Business is the preferred call management system,” he added.
