GoResponse Telephone Answering Service Staff

Industry forum in Manchester

Old Trafford is usually home to footballers earning vast sums of money but recently it played host to an industry forum that focussed on contact centre standards.

The event is one of the largest of its kind and large numbers of call centre specialists attended.  This forum was established by the Professional Planning Forum to look at all aspects of call centre operations.  The event included the National Best Practice Seminar, which attracted a total of 230 delegates from large companies that are household names.

The conference included case studies, discussions and workshops, and looked at important features of the telephone answering service function such as speech analytics, planning and flexibility.  There were opportunities for networking and meeting with suppliers.

Attendees have reported that the event was ideal for making new contacts and sharing ideas and insights.  Some delegates were very impressed by the feeling of community that was generated during the conference.  Others found that it supported their studies in areas such as planning.

The forum planners noted that there were plenty of new members attending the event as well as those who have been to previous forums.  The environment that has been fostered is one where members are keen to ensure that standards are raised and remain high.  It is hoped that members will continue to communicate with each other and work together to achieve this in the future.  The next event is due to take place in April 2013.
