Telephone Line Diversion
Call Diversion allows you to divert your calls to any other telephone number.  Your phone may be already set-up to use the call divert service, however if it is not, you will have to make a quick call to your telephone service provider to enable.  It is quick and easy.  For BT customers - Call 0800 389 2312.

Types Of Divert
There are three types of divert that you can take advantage of:
  • Divert All Calls - Does exactly what it says on the tin. Your phone will never ring, instead every call will be diverted to the redirected number. This is useful for holidays.
  • Divert When Busy - Your callers will never hear an engaged tone, and you'll never miss another call once you've used this divert with your GoResponse service. If you line is available, then calls will ring through to you as normal.
  • Divert When Unanswered - Your calls ring through to you as normal, but if you don't manage (or want to) pick up the phone it will redirect the call automatically after 15 seconds.
The Simplest Option
Most clients set-up 'Divert Unanswered Calls' and 'Divert when Busy' as default, leaving these diversion settings on all the time. You have the option of then also diverting all calls when you know that you will be unable to take any calls and cancelling the 'all call diversion' calls when you are available again.

You will be able to hear if a diversion service is active by listening to the dialling tone. Normally it is a constant tone. With a diversion service active, this tone becomes a broken tone.
